A La Folly is a delightful gem tucked away on the outskirts of town. The attention to detail is impressive, with quirky and interesting art pieces throughout the hotel, making it a truly unique experience. The rooms on the verandah off our room provided a lovely spot to relax and take in the surroundings. The continental breakfast included in the price was outstanding, and we loved hearing all about the garden and its decorations.
Not a single complaint to be found - everything was perfect!

Looking for a hotel to spend New Year's Eve? There is an option in the rural area of South Australia that brings a little slice of France to your stay. The homely accommodation had comfortable beds and seating areas outside. You can even see the stars while going to the bathroom, which is in a separated room - a unique experience. Being just out of town, it is very quiet but accessible enough to enjoy the area. Breakfast was a surprise and an excellent opportunity to taste the delicious local produce.
The development of the garden was not yet completed. It was a little bit disappointing, as it could have been a highlight of the stay, but I can understand it takes time to create a beautiful space.

The countryside views and the peace and quiet were the best aspects of our romantic escape. the homemade breakfast was also a nice touch, especially the warm coffee and fresh croissants. We appreciated the privacy of our lodgings.
The bathroom facilities were lacking. Having to use a separate shared shower and toilet outside was not ideal for a comfortable stay.

I recently had a delightful stay at a charming hotel on the outskirts of a quaint little town. The hotel exuded character and had a lovely location, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The attention to detail was remarkable, with beautiful historic touches both inside and outside the property. The rooms on the verandah provided a cozy spot to unwind and take in the surroundings. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond, ensuring that every guest felt taken care of. The breakfast served was a pleasant surprise, offering a delicious and hearty cooked meal to start the day. One detail that stood out was the vintage cutlery box, adding a touch of nostalgia to my dining experience.
I struggled to find any faults with this hotel as everything during my stay was fantastic.

Our stay at A La Folly was absolutely delightful. The charming accommodation made us feel like we were in a little slice of France. The attention to detail in the design of the room was impressive, with an open plan layout that made it feel like a cozy home. The meals provided were excellent, and we truly enjoyed the delicious dinner cooked for us. The peacocks roaming the grounds added a touch of whimsy to the experience. The warm and welcoming hosts made us feel right at home. The view in the morning towards the river was breathtaking. Despite a few minor drawbacks such as the shared bathroom facilities and lack of basin in the room, they were manageable and didn't detract from our overall enjoyment. We highly recommend A La Folly for anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location was ideal with good proximity to shops and a peaceful environment to relax in. the room was clean and beautifully decorated with period-style furniture. the hosts were welcoming and accommodating, making our stay feel like visiting with family. Breakfasts were delicious and we appreciated the pet-friendly environment. the shared kitchen and laundry were convenient facilities.
The shower toilets could have used a heat source, though this was a minor complaint for this otherwise wonderful accommodation.
